Beards, Bikes & Beers Ride – Sunday 13 September 2026

A social mountain bike ride to celebrate the lives of Dirtopia founder Meurant Botha and his longtime friend JP van Zyl – with singletrack, friends, beer, boerie and a fire, just as they would have liked it.

The main guided ride starts at 08h30 from Dirtopia Trail Centre at Muratie and will be approximately 22–27km / 2–2½ hours, aimed at intermediate+ riders. E-bikes welcome. Shorter self-guided 6.4km and 8.2km options are available, with extra trails for those wanting more miles.

Not riding? Friends, family and their car friends are very welcome to join us afterwards for a beer, boerie and some stories.
